Maybe it’s the festive seasons. But I’ve been thinking about filial piety these few days. About how strong the sense of filial piety exists within the asian communities, but in the western community I doubt many people have even heard of these words.

年三十。The night when everyone goes back home to have reunion dinner with their families. This tradition has been around forever (lol I dont know when it started but it should be forever), families reunite on the day before new year, and celebrate new year’s together. Are there any similiar events in the western culture?

Anyway, I’m just proud I’m an asian. Haha.

Happy Chinese New Year! May you appreciate and love your families, and wishing you good health!
