What you give is what you get.
It’s not the quantity that matters though, it’s the quality. It’s just like baking a cake, even if you add ten times the amount of low quality chocolate, it’ll still not be as good as if you add just enough good quality ones. Ok maybe this is a bad analogy, but you get the gist.
It’s not how many hours you spend working on something, it’s how much effort you are actually putting into it. There’s no point if you spend 10 hours on it, but in actual the effort and concentration you give is only 50%.
So stop complaining. Some things are reflective of your efforts.
* Of course there are exceptional cases when opportunities or luck may appear to skew the equation.

I realised that I really dislike talking to bad listeners. They seriously never listen, and worst of all, they don’t give you the opportunity to talk at all.
So instead, I’ll just shut my mouth and let them talk, but in actual I’m no longer listening to what they are saying.
